Bryan Eubanks and Catherine Lamb will present a new work in progress involving tones arrived at through subtractive synthesis of white noise, shifting filters on white noise, recorded natural environments, viola, etc., which engage in a durational space attempting to create a sonic blur.

Composer and Musicologist Luciano Chessa will introduce/contextualize and perform a few of his recent pieces, all instigated by his research on Italian futurist Luigi Russolo, the creator of the “art of noises” (1913).

GREGORY LENCZYCKI
Los Angeles based composer and CCM alumnus Gregory Lenczycki will present a new work for laptop and electronics. Described as “always poetic” and “twittering with excitable circuitry,” Lenczycki’s work explores the rhythms of space and the architecture of sound.
